Ingredients: 1 12-ounce bag frozen artichokes or 2 cans drained quartered artichokes; 1/2 cup bread crumbs; 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided; 1/2 olive oil; 1 lemon, juiced and zest (omit if using cans); 4 cloves of garlic; 2 tablespoons chopped parsley; Salt and pepper to taste; 5 slices provolone cheese or mozzarella cheese, divided

1/2 cup bread crumbs
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
1/2 olive oil
1 lemon, juiced and zest (omit if using cans)
4 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Salt and pepper to taste
5 slices provolone cheese or mozzarella cheese, divided

Instructions

1 Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2 Add artichokes, breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup grated Parmesan, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper to a large bowl; stir to combine.
3 Spread half the mixture into a 9x9-inch deep baking dish, then top with 4 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese.
4 Add remaining artichoke mixture on top. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese and drizzle with olive oil; tear remaining provolone slice into pieces and add on top.
5 Bake in the preheated oven until golden and bubbly, 30 to 35 minutes.
