All you need to make these easy cake mix cookies is a box of cake mix and two kitchen staples. They’re fun to make with kids and customizable.

1 (15.25-ounce) box Funfetti cake mix
1 stick unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles, for rolling, optional

1 Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
2 Combine the cake mix, melted butter, and eggs in a large bowl. Use a sturdy spatula to mix until completely smooth. Use a medium cookie scoop or heaping tablespoon to portion out the batter in 1 1/2-tablespoon mounds spaced at least 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets. You should be able to fit about 10 cookies per baking sheet. Roll each cookie in sprinkles before returning it to the baking sheet, if desired.
3 Bake the cookies until they are puffed, set, and just beginning to brown, 10 to 14 minutes. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
