Ingredients: 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats; 1 cup hot water; 4 tbsps unsalted butter, melted; 4 tbsps vegetable oil; 3/4 cup smooth peanut butter; 1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar; 3/4 tsp salt; 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon; 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg; 3 eggs, room temp; 1 tbsp vanilla extract; 1/4 tsp almond extract; 1/2 cup sour cream, room temp; 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour; 2 tsps baking powder; 3/4 tsp baking soda; 3/4 cup M&Ms; 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips; 8 oz cream cheese, softened; 4 tbsps unsalted butter, softened; 2 1/4 cups powdered sugar; 1 tsp vanilla; Pinch of salt; 2-3 drops green food coloring, or as needed; 16 M&Ms for decorating

1 Mix together oats and hot water in a small bowl. Set aside to soften for 20 minutes.

2 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (80 degrees F). Grease a 9x13-inch pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.

3 In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, oil, peanut butter, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, eggs, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract, and almond extract until smooth and combined, 1 to 2 minutes. Add in the oat mixture and sour cream, and whisk until thoroughly incorporated. Add in flour, baking powder, and baking soda, and whisk until just combined. Stir in 3/4 cup M&M'S and chocolate chips.

4 Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth into an even layer. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

5 To make the frosting, beat together softened butter and cream cheese until smooth and combined. Add in powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and pinch of salt and beat until thoroughly incorporated and frosting becomes smooth, 2 to 3 minutes. Measure out 1/4 cup of the frosting and set aside. To the remaining frosting, add green food coloring and mix until thoroughly incorporated.

6 Place cooled cake on a cake plate or serving platter. Frost the top of the cake with the green frosting. Place the reserved 1/4 cup frosting into a piping bag fitted with a small round tip. Pipe lines on top of the green frosting to resemble a soccer pitch. Arrange 16 M&M'S on the cake to resemble soccer players.

7 When ready to serve, cut the cake into 32 pieces. Keep extra cake stored in an airtight container.
