Tart and refreshing, a gimlet is one of my favorite cocktails. With just 3 ingredients, it's easy to make at home! I love the ratio of gin to lime juice to sweetener here, but feel free to adjust it to suit your tastes.

Ingredients

2½ ounces gin
½ ounce fresh lime juice
½ ounce simple syrup
Ice
Lime wheel (for garnish)

Instructions

1 Place the gin, lime juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake until well chilled.
2 Strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a lime wheel.
